SECRETARY’S REPORT.
The Secretary’s work consisted of notifying the rabbis of the State of the Talmudic studies assigned at the last meeting of the Kallah, inquiring of them for suggestions in reference to the program and urging them to attend the Convention. He is happy to report that with very few exceptions he received hearty co-operation from all those who have Jewish scholarship at heart. He regrets that while he endeavored to render the President as much assistance as possible, he could not relieve him of a greater share of the burden, with which, especially, the editing of the Kallah Annual was connected. He looks forward with most delightful anticipation to the Second Kallah Convention which will be held in this city, and of which the Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel will be the sponsors.
