CONGRATULATORY COMMUNICATIONS
THE DROPSIE COLLEGE For Hebrew and Cognate Learning
Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Doctor Schechter:
I was very much pleased when I learned that it was proposed to publish a volume containing the reports of the annual Convention of the Texas Rabbis, and a synopsis of the papers read at your meeting. That this ancient custom, coming down from the days of the Babylonian academies should, after so many centuries, be renewed in far distant America, in one of the newer and most distant States of America, is indeed an earnest of the maintenance of Jewish scholarship in one of the last corners of the Dispersion .
I trust that through it there will be strengthened the bonds which have already been formed among the Rabbis and teachers of the State of Texas, and that your fine example may be followed in many other sections of America.
Very sincerely yours,
CYRUS ADLER
President

My Dear Rabbi Schechter:
I congratulate you most heartily upon your success in organizing the Texas Kallah. I know from my contacts with the Chicago Kallah, the valuable service which such an institution can render. It is particularly gratifying and constructive that your Kallah should have decided to publish an Annual containing the reports of each year’s meeting and synopses of the papers presented. I wish you and your organization complete success in your work. I shall follow your endeavors and achievements with much interest and shall be happy indeed to give you what assistance I can in carrying out your projects.
With every assurance of esteem, I am
Very Sincerely yours,
JULIAN MORGENSTERN,
President.
