16. Verlegung eines Handelshauses an einen andern Ort.

Havanna.

Messrs. CRUGER and GREEN, Hamburg.

Gcntlemen,

The late disastrous events on the continent of South America, the state of anarchy in which the country is pla- ced, its frequent revolutions, and the little security tlicre is for property, have induced us to break up our csta- blishment at Para and to remove to the Havanna, whcre the flourishing condition of the Island gives us hopes of carrying on a lucrative and extensive trade.

We entertain the agreeable cxpectatiön that tliis reinoval will tend also to the advantagc of our correspondcnts and occasion them to enter into a closer Connection and favor us more frequently with consignments. We confine ourselves at present to enclosing our price-currents of import and ex- port, but will shortly state more explicitly the inducements which there are to renew our former intercourse.

Till then we remain your obedient and humble servants, VASCONCELLOS and FISCHER.
